Gong Yoo talks about his fans in Puerto Rico + possible advancement into America

Recently, Gong Yoo took part in a photo shoot and interview with fashion magazine @star1 and talked about filming overseas for his latest movie 'The Suspect' as well as possibly moving into the American industry.   The actor stated, "I was incredibly surprised because a lot of fans recognized me in Puerto Rico . . . I don't know how they knew, but the fans there came to the location site starting from the break of dawn.  They told me that they watched everything from the drama 'Coffee Prince' to the movie 'The Crucible' . . . Even the staff was surprised at the unexpected hospitality."   In addition, Gong Yoo talked about his possible advancement into the American entertainment industry.  He said, "Truthfully, the production place that helped us film 'The Suspect' did give me an offer, asking if I wanted to advance into America . . . I answered, 'As long as I can be prepared.'  After returning to Korea, I knew there were talks between companies, but nothing definite has been decided as of yet." SM puts out a full page ad to commemorate the 1 million audience mark for Super Junior's concert tour

Since 2008, Super Junior went around the globe to perform for their fans in concert tours called 'SUPERSHOW.'  Back in July of this year, they had finally passed the milestone of 1 million audience members through these concert series!


To commemorate this amazing achievement, SM Entertainment took out an entire full page in the Seoul Economy newspaper to announce this feat and thank all their fans.

The advertisement said, "Super Junior made a breakthrough by having a total of 1 million global audience members through their concert 'SUPERSHOW'!" and named the various cities the boys had performed in, such as Mexico, Tokyo, London, Hong Kong, Paris, Beijing, Buenos Aires, and more.  

Congratulations again to Super Junior on their incredible achievement!

'Shinhwa Broadcast' announces its cancellation + to air its final broadcast on January 19

Shinhwa and JTBC announced their decision to cancel their beloved variety show 'Shinhwa Broadcast' after nearly two years on air due to their stance that Shinhwa is not complete without all six members together on the show.
 Shinhwa shared, "As you can tell from the title of the program, 'Shinhwa Broadcast' is centered around 'Shinhwa' as a whole so it is meaningless if two members are missing so we carefully discussed the possible cancellation of the show with the staff... After serious consideration, we made the final decision yesterday (26th) to air the final broadcast on January 19 and 'Shinhwa Broadcast', which has been airing for the past two years, will be subsequently canceled."

A Shinhwa Company rep stated, "Following a long and careful discussion between the Shinhwa members and JTBC's 'Shinhwa Broadcast' staff, they have decided to cancel 'Shinhwa Broadcast' this coming January. Shinhwa is only possible with all six members together and it would be difficult to continue with 'Shinhwa Broadcast' with only four members due to circumstances so the decision was made... We thank the fans for their interest and love for 'Shinhwa Broadcast' during that time and we will do our best until the final broadcast so we ask for your support."

'Shinhwa Broadcast' will come to an end on January 19.

Lee Min Ho takes a picture with Jackie Chan

Popular actor Lee Min Ho scored a photo opportunity with Jackie Chan, world star and Chinese stunt extraordinaire!   Lee Min Ho attended the '2013 Baidu Fei Dian Awards' on December 22 where he won the award for 'Best Actor in Asia.'  It appeared that he met up with Jackie Chan at the event because he uploaded a picture of them together onto Twitter the next night!   In the picture, the two of them look close as they stand side-by-side and raise twin peace signs while smiling sweetly into the camera.  Congrats to Lee Min Ho on the award and for his incredible, rising popularity in China!   Cr: http://www.allkpop.com

Shinhwa to Provide Food Support for Animal Shelters

During the December 3 and December 10 episodes of JTBC’s “Shinhwa Broadcast,” the Shinhwa members showed an exceptional love for pets. 
Shinhwa and the pet food company Petman agreed to provide food support for animal shelters all around the country for the upcoming year. Petman appeared on “Shinhwa Broadcast” on December 16, where they signed a contract for the agreement. The Shinhwa members were happier than anyone about the contract, and actively participated in the support.
The next episode of “Shinhwa Broadcast” will air on December 22 at 11pm (KST), and will feature guests A-Pink’s Jung Eun Ji and After School’s Lizzy. The upcoming show will also feature a mini version of Shinhwa, in a puppet show for children.

Lee Min Ho sets a new record on Weibo!

  Lee Min Ho has set a new record on Weibo! His label said, "Lee Min Ho had an interview through the Chinese SNS Weibo with his fans. He got 530,000 questions in one hour, setting the biggest record." His 530,000 is much higher than Jang Geun Suk's 430,000, or EXO-M's 410,000. He was incredibly kind and funny to every fan he could possibly answer to. When one fan asked, "My boyfriend is jealous because he says all I do is look at you", he answered, "That's okay. The Lee Min Ho syndrome is still going strong as all 5,000 tickets for his upcoming Seoul concert sold out within just two minutes!

Lee Min Ho will kick off the new year with the encore finale concert of his 2013 global tour 'My Everything' at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium, Seoul on January 18. Everyone wants a piece of the actor after 'Heirs' so immediately after ticket sales began on the 19th at 8 PM KST, the 5,000 tickets sold out within two minutes, showcasing his tremendous popularity.

It has also been revealed that his clothing charity auction held on the 18th attracted over 10,000 visitors in just one second, shutting down the servers and on the re-opened auction the very next day, it was completed in just 43 seconds.

His agency Starhaus Entertainment stated, "In response to the fans' repeated requests, we will hold an encore concert in addition to Lee Min Ho's concerts in Korea and Southeast Asia this summer."

Lee Min Ho is currently meeting fans overseas and will attend the '2013 Baidu Fei Dian Awards' in Beijing, China on the 22nd!

Grupo coreano vendrá en concierto (BoyFriend)

El grupo Boyfriend, que forma parte del movimiento KPOP de música popular coreana, se presentará el sábado, 8 de marzo de 2014, en la Sala de Festivales del Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce.
Mucho antes de que el cantante coreano PSY se hiciera conocido, ya muchos grupos de cantantes coreanos habían roto la barrera cultural al presentarse en Estados Unidos y Sur America. Ahora le toca a Puerto Rico ser parte de este fenómeno mundial. Dream Productions, Inc. se ha dado a la tarea de traer por primera vez en la historia musical de la Isla a un grupo representante del género KPOP.
Boyfriend es de Corea del Sur y consta de 6 chicos: Kim Donghyun, Shim Hyunseong, Lee Jeongmin, Jo Youngmin, Jo Kwangmin, y No Minwoo. Es el primer grupo coreano de varones que cuenta con los gemelos Jo Twins.

Which idol stars look like their adorable pets?

It is undeniable that many idol stars absolutely love and adore animals, especially their own pets.  Some even have up to four or five dogs they can cuddle with at home!  Not to mention, stars like KARA's Hara and Daniel Henney even took part in photo shoots with their pets.

This may have very well been my favorite feature article thus far as these pets are so cute that they brightened up my day and I was smiling like an idiot in the office.  

And you know what they say!  Pets look like their owners!  This turned out to be quite true and you can see for yourself in the list compiled below of which idol stars have lookalike pets.

In this picture, it appears Eunhyuk is purposely trying to look like his cute little Choco.  They both are widening their eyes, looking quite surprised.  They are also sporting similar light brown hair!

Lee Min Ho chose the perfect time to announce he'll be starring in 'Gangnam Blues'!

As the drama 'Heirs' is now over, Lee Min Ho will open up a new chapter in his acting career through the big screen. His agency stated, "Lee Min Ho is starring in director Yoo Ha's film 'Gangnam Blues (Land gate, Gangnam 1970)'."

Director Yoo Ha revealed Lee Min Ho caught his eye from the start, "Although several actors were interested, I had Lee Min Ho in mind since a long time ago while planning for this production... I anticipate a synergistic effect with actor Lee Min Ho who possesses charisma, handsome charms, and individuality."

'Gangnam Blues' is an action noir film that takes place in Seoul's Gangnam district in the 1970s. The story revolves around political authorities and dark societal forces conspiring during a time when Gangnam was beginning to develop.

Lee Min Ho will begin filming in March, and 'Gangnam Blues' is slated to hit theaters in late 2014.
