Recently on a popular online community, a post gained attention for introducing how L's handsome appearance has not changed over the years. Originally titled, "The change in the appearance of INFINTE's L over the past 11 years", the post included different pictures and gifs from 2010 to 2021, and simply wrote, "No ups and downs indeed."

It has been reported that INFINITE member L will be joining the Marine Corps in February 2021.
According to Sports Seoul, on December 28th, L recently applied to the Marine Corps and is expected to fulfill his mandatory military duty starting from the end of February.
An official from L's agency stated, "Kim Myung Soo (L) recently planned and volunteered to join the Marine Corps."
They added, "He is looking forward to fulfilling his national defense obligations through the Marine Corps that he wished to join. He is also preparing a surprise gift for his fans before joining the military."
Meanwhile, INFINITE members Dongwoo, Sungyeol, and Sungjong have already joined the military and serving their mandatory duty. Sunggyu was discharged from the 22nd division of the Army in Goseong, Gangwon Province, on January 8th of this year.
Actress Shin Ye Eunhas joined the cast of KBS2's upcoming fantasy romance drama, 'Come Here' (literal translation)!
Previously, former INFINITEmember/actor Kim Myung Soo (L) joined the production early on as the male lead Hong Jo. Shin Ye Eun has been cast as the drama's female lead Kim Sol Ah opposite Kim Myung Soo, taking on the role of a woman in her mid-twenties with a very energetic and puppy-like personality.
Meanwhile, 'Come Here', based off of a popular webtoon series of the same name, tells the story of a cat named Hong Jo who can transform into the image of a human male. He befriends a puppy-like woman named Kim Sol Ah. The drama is expected to premiere in March of 2020.
INFINITE's L (Kim Myung Soo) has been cast as the lead in KBS's upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama 'Come Here' (lit. title).
The casting announcement was made by the drama's production company on August 26. They also added that casting for the other roles is in its final stages and the team plans to begin filming in the second half of the year.
'Come Here' is a fantasy romantic-comedy drama where a cat that has transformed into a human man has a warm and healing effect on a 'puppy-like' human woman who has become jaded from heartbreak and the monotony of the daily grind.
The drama will be directed by Ji Byung Hyun, who previously worked on KBS's 'Big' and 'House of Bluebird.' The script has also been written by Ju Hwa Mi, who wrote the screenplay for tvN's 'Marriage, Not Dating' and 'Introverted Boss.
Meanwhile, 'Come Here' is set to begin airing in March 2020.
Woollim Entertainment has responded to INFINITE's L leaving the label and questions about INFINITE's future.
After L posted a letter to fans on Instagram, Woollim Entertainment released the official statement below:
"Hello. This is Woollim Entertainment.
Firstly, we express sincere gratitude to the fans who cherish and love INFINITE.
Our exclusive contract with INFINITE member L (Kim Myung Soo), who's been with us for the past 9 years, ended on August 18, 2019.
Ahead of the end of his exclusive contract recently, we had in-depth discussion with our artist L for a long time, and after careful discussion, the decision was not to renew.
L debuted as a member of INFINITE in 2010, and he put all his effort into activities in diverse fields. We express our sincere gratitude to L, who's been together with us for the long time of 9 years since 2010.
We ask that you show constant love to L, and we'll be sincerely cheering on his future.
Additionally, the members have strong determination on their group activities, and there's no consideration of INFINITE's disbandment. On the direction of INFINITE's future promotions, they'll be carried out after enough discussion in the future because members are currently serving in the military."
INFINITE's L is leaving Woollim Entertainment after 10 years with the label.
On August 19, L has posted a handwritten letter saying he has not renewed a contract with Woollim Entertainment. In his letter he says,
Hello, this is Kim Myung-soo, L. It has been a while since we were last in touch INSPIRIT, but I'm afraid that I have to break the bad news to you. First of all, I want to apologize for this. But I also want to thank you for your unconditional love and support thus far. It's really hard for me to share this because this could break your heart.
My contract with Woollim Entertainment has expired. After much consideration, I decided not to renew my contract and be independent. I thought I needed a new challenge in my life and I'm now ready to take on that challenge.
It has been more than a decade with Woollim Entertainment since I was a trainee and I learned and grew so much through the years under Woollim. Time really flies.
After debuting as INFINITE, every moment with INSPIRIT was happy.
Our members who stayed with me through all those years. I want to thank members again for being with me, making every moment happy and I promise that we will always be together.
I can't put down in words how much I appreciate my members and INSPIRIT. Although the form and the method might be different, we will continue to support each other and stay together.
I also want to thank everyone in Woollim Entertainment for making unforgettable memories and feelings of happiness. I will work hard to live up to your support. In addition, I'll do my best to be with members whenever it's needed. I want to thank INSPIRIT over and over, who have believed in me and showered me with unconditional love. I will do my best and work hard so I could come back in better shape soon.
Boy group INFINITE is planning to greet fans through various new promotions soon!
The boys are set to hold a fan meeting titled '2018 INFINITE Fan Meeting - Forver' from this December 30-31 at Goryeo University's Hwajung Gymnasium. This marks INFINITE's first fan meeting in approximately a year, and during this special year-end event, fans in the audience will have the chance to see a never-before-scene and never-before-heard INFINITE song for the first time ever!
Furthermore, INFINITE recently also teased a new web-behind series coming to YouTube - 'Too Much Infinite (TMI)'. As you can see in the teaser clip below, 'TMI' will be full of the members' behind-the-scenes moments and laughs.
On December 14th, Woollim Entertainment stated, “Kim Myung Soo has been confirmed for ‘One and Only Love’.”
The drama ‘One and Only Love’ will depict the romance between a troublemaker angel, Dan (INFINITE’s L) and a loveless ballerina, Yeon Seo (Shin Hye Sun). Kim Myung Soo will play the role of an angel who became the cupid of a cold-hearted woman to return to the sky.
INFINITE member L recently held his first solo fan meeting in Japan.
Woollim Entertainment stated,
"INFINITE's L launched 'Kim Myung-Soo ~L~ First Fan meeting in Japan'
on September 4-8 for a total of four days at Japan's Zepp Tokyo and
Osaka's Zepp Namba theater respectively as he met with his loving fans."
This
fan meeting was organized as his first Asian fan meeting tour in
September and is set to be held in Taiwan and Singapore as well. The
INFINITE member will be greeting fans as actor Kim Myung Soo from MBC's 'The Emperor: The Owner of the Mask'.
Taking the theme of 'A Date with L', Kim Myung Soo caused many fans to swoon during his solo fan meeting.
He opened the show by singing the theme song from drama 'The Day After We Broke Up', titled "One More Time".
After greeting fans with a warm smile, he interacted with the lively
crowd talking about his latest drama 'The Emperor: The Owner of the
Mask'.
Towards the end, the idol star sent out a thankful message to his fans by handing out gifts. He commented, "I
visited Japan for my first solo fan meeting and I was really surprised
by the large attendance. I felt energized upon meeting with everyone.
Please look forward to INFINITE's new album and more projects from actor
Kim Myung Soo."
Meanwhile, L is considering his next project and will continue his Asia tour fan meetings in Taiwan and Singapore.
INFINITE's L will be traveling Asia for a solo fan meeting tour.
He'll be heading to Tokyo, Osaka, Taiwan, and Singapore by himself, greeting fans not just as a member of INFINITE, but as an actor. His Korean fan meeting has yet to be scheduled.
L most recently starred in the MBC drama 'The Emperor: The Owner of the Mask' as well as KBS' 'The Day After We Broke Up' and MBC's 'My Catman' in 2016.

L spoke about INFINITE's contract renewal with Woollim Entertainment.
In a recent interview with Biz Enter, L revealed, "[The] contract renewal is still under discussion. We have just laid out the introduction, and now we need to discuss the main body."
INFINITE's contract with Woollim Entertainment came to an end in June. The label announced that the "contract renewal is under discussion." A few weeks later, an exclusive report by Segye Ilbo revealed that 6 out of the 7 INFINITE members have renewed their contract with Woollim Entertainment. The agency has not spoken up about the report.
To Biz Enter, L stated, "I think it'll take some time [for it to be finalized], but I think the answer is already chosen. I, too, agree with what people think is better. Opinions can change by minute and second but I'm positively looking into it for now."
L has been actively promoting as an actor. He recently completed MBC drama 'Monarch - Owner of the Mask' and gained compliments for his outstanding performance.
The idol actor revealed, "The direction I need to take from now on is something that I definitely need to worry about." He added, "But I've already made up my mind [about the contract renewal] since 2-3 years ago, so it's not giving me a too much of a headache."

An exclusive report by Segye Ilbo states that 6 out of 7 members of INFINITE have renewed their contracts with Woollim Entertainment.
An insider revealed, "Out of the 7 members of INFINITE, only one member has not yet renewed their contract but he's positively in discussion with the company."
On June 28, a rep from Woollim Entertainment also spoke about the renewal process, and stated, "Nothing has been finalized yet. Contract renewal is under discussion. You'll be able to continuously see INFINITE in the future."
INFINITE's contract with the agency came to an end on June 9.
On May 10, INFINITE’s L held a V Live broadcast titled “Kim Myung Soo X Ruler: Master of the Mask,” where he explained how he and fellow “Ruler: Master of the Mask” cast member Yoo Seung Ho grew even closer together.
“What Seung Ho and I have in common is that we both have cats, so we always share cat food or snacks with each other. We were close from the beginning, but it’s also true that our cats made us even closer. It’s that time of the year when cats shed, and we recently shared stories about that with each other,” L revealed.
As revealed previously by Kim So Hyun, the cast members promised to wear their costumes and hold a fan signing event if they gathered over 20 percent ratings. In addition to this promise, L took the chance to explain what he would do if the drama got over 25 percent viewer ratings. He said, “I will also make a personal promise. If we get over 25 percent ratings, I will dance while wearing king’s clothing and a mask.”
